Walking through the forest, you spot a clearing and wander off the main trail to investigate. Peeking through, you see a floral glade brimming with life. Colorful flowers and mushrooms dot the field, and small painted doors adorn the hollows of the trees. There’s even a tiny sign with crooked letters that spells out ‘Blue Bonnet Ridge’. Beyond it you spy the merry houses of the faery folk, including the tiny dwelling of Florina Faery.
 
Florina is a spirited fae who often forages among the  forests and fields surrounding the Ridge. She gathers wild wheat, berries, and edible flowers to incorporate into her baked treats but is most fond of the wild strawberries she gathers in the underbrush. Florina is best known for her famous strawberry cinnamon rolls, a recipe that has won her several awards and is much requested by her woodland friends and fellow faeries.
 
You swear you catch a whiff of juicy strawberry, tangy cream cheese, spicy cinnamon, and sweet vanilla as you watch the curious glade before you. And, was that movement in one of those round, whimsical windows? It was! Florina flits out the door carrying a tiny dish stacked high with hot, gooey cinnamon buns. She buzzes by you and holds out her plate, offering a sweet treat and a sweeter smile. Bon appétit!

***Florina is a variety of everbearing strawberry that is bright red and conical in shape. It grows quickly and produces a high yield. Fruits from this variety have a good shelf life and can be harvested beginning in May and June.
